Impact
of Cinema on Young Minds
Symposium
held at Bangla Akademi on 28.12.2013
On the last day of 3rd
Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival, as the day was gradually
warming up in Nandan premises, some children, parents and teachers walked into
Bangla Akademi to participate in a discussion on what they watched during the
festival and what they liked. The session was initiated by Debasish Mandal,
with the comments that cinema is a very potent tool for a child’s holistic
growth and parents and teachers should use it consciously instead of
discouraging children from watching movies.
